Job Responsibilities:

• Perform vehicle repairs and maintenance as outlined on repair orders, adhering to dealership and OEM standards
• Communicate effectively with Parts and Service Advisors to manage repairs, cycle times, and customer updates
• Conduct multi-point inspections, recommend repairs, and ensure vehicle safety and reliability before customer delivery
• Document all work accurately on repair orders, ensuring warranty claims are properly processed
• Maintain a personal inventory of essential tools
• Stay updated with factory bulletins and participate in training sessions
• Provide excellent customer service to promote loyalty and revenue

Requirements:

• Availability for part-time hours, to be discussed during interview
• Provincially recognized Journeyman Automotive Mechanic Certificate (310S), completed or in progress
• Red Seal Certification is advantageous
• Post-secondary training or related courses
• Professional demeanor, strong work ethic, and excellent communication skills
• Proficiency with electronic diagnostic equipment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Work Conditions:

• Indoor/outdoor shop environment with temperature variations and physical activity
• Exposure to fumes, dust, oil, grease, and noise
• Operation of machinery and vehicles, including manual and automatic transmissions
• Extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking
• Lifting up to 75 pounds
• Use of specialized tools and equipment
• Manual dexterity for reaching and manipulating parts
• Occasional bending, kneeling, and crawling
• Visual and verbal communication necessary for diagnostics and teamwork
