Job Responsibilities:
- Perform vehicle repairs and maintenance as outlined on repair orders, adhering to dealership and OEM standards
- Communicate effectively with Parts and Service Advisors to manage repairs, cycle times, and customer updates
- Conduct multi-point inspections, recommend repairs, and ensure vehicle safety and reliability before customer delivery
- Document all work accurately on repair orders, ensuring warranty claims are properly processed
- Maintain a personal inventory of essential tools
- Stay updated with factory bulletins and participate in training sessions
- Provide excellent customer service to promote loyalty and revenue
Requirements:
- Availability for part-time hours, to be discussed during interview
- Provincially recognized Journeyman Automotive Mechanic Certificate (310S), completed or in progress
- Red Seal Certification is advantageous
- Post-secondary training or related courses
- Professional demeanor, strong work ethic, and excellent communication skills
- Proficiency with electronic diagnostic equipment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Work Conditions:
- Indoor/outdoor shop environment with temperature variations and physical activity
- Exposure to fumes, dust, oil, grease, and noise
- Operation of machinery and vehicles, including manual and automatic transmissions
- Extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking
- Lifting up to 75 pounds
- Use of specialized tools and equipment
- Manual dexterity for reaching and manipulating parts
