Job summary

Chenier Motors Ltd in Timmins is seeking a licensed Automotive Service Technician (310S) to join our Mining Division. You’ll diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles, collaborating with the parts team and ensuring accurate documentation.

Own tools and steel-toe boots are required, along with a valid Ontario license and ongoing manufacturer training. We offer flexible hours, a signing bonus for qualified candidates, relocation assistance, and opportunities for career growth and development within

Qualifications

  • Strong computer and organizational skills.

  • Valid Ontario driver’s license (G2 or G).
  • 310S Automotive Service Technician certification.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicles based on work orders.
  • Collaborate with Parts Department to order parts for repairs.
  • Store and label parts, especially under warranty.
  • Notify service department if additional work is required.
  • Document repair orders clearly.
  • Mentor apprentices in the shop.

KeyResponsibilities:

Repair and Maintenance: Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehiclesbased on the work orders. Collaboration with Parts Department: Work closely with the parts team to orderparts for vehicle repairs. Parts Storage and Labeling: Properly store and label parts, especiallythose under warranty or requested by the customer. Timely Communication: Notify the service department promptly ifadditional work is required or if the repairs cannot be completed withinthe expected timeframe. Accurate Documentation: Ensure all relevant information isrecorded clearly on repair orders. Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date by completing manufacturertraining. Mentoring Apprentices: Assist in training and guiding apprenticetechnicians within the shop. Equipment and Safety: Report defective or malfunctioningequipment and any safety issues to the service manager immediately. Customer Vehicle Care: Report any incidents that could affect theappearance or condition of customer vehicles. Tool Management: Take responsibility for the dealership’stools and equipment, returning them in the same condition. Professionalism: Maintain a professional appearance andcomplete tasks assigned by the manager.
