Job summary

Walters Autogroup is seeking an Automotive Service Technician for a full-time, permanent role in Canada. The position involves diagnosing and repairing vehicle systems, performing preventive maintenance, and communicating findings to customers.

A Red Seal or equivalent, strong English skills, and team collaboration are required. Eligible applicants must have a valid Canadian driver’s license and be able to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with start date planned.

Qualifications

• Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program in automotive service technology.
• A valid Red Seal Journeyman’s Certificate (Automotive Service Technician) or equivalent journeyman/trades certification is required; candidates may need to obtain it.
• Level 4 apprentices currently enrolled will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair automotive systems per dealer and manufacturer standards.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance such as oil changes, tune-ups, etc.
• Document findings on work orders and communicate results to customers clearly.
• Collaborate with service advisors and technicians to ensure timely completion of work orders.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment at all times.
