Job summary

Canadian Tire Stores is seeking an Automotive Service Installer to join a fast-paced service centre. You will perform oil changes, tire installation/rotation, and basic vehicle maintenance while coordinating with service staff and advisors.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license for province of employment.
• Ability to handle physical demands including standing/walking for 8 hours while frequently lifting and carrying items.

• Knowledge of current automobile technology and ability to work with computerized systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform customer vehicle basic maintenance and repairs (lube, oil and filter changes, tire rotation/balancing).
• Provide accurate estimates and written vehicle reports to the Service Advisor.
• Communicate with Service Manager/Advisors/Technicians and Back Parts Window Associate.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
• Report unsafe vehicles to management and vehicle owner.

Flat Rate Position

Responsibilities:

• Perform customer vehicle basic maintenance and repairs, as requested (lube, oil and filter changes / remove, install, rotate and balance tires / basic repairs, maintenance and inspections that do not require the presence of a Licensed Automobile Technician, etc.).
• Administer drive clean emission tests (only in specific provinces).
• Perform Registered Imported Vehicles (RIV) inspections.
• Communicate with Service Manager/Service Advisors/Licensed Automobile Technicians and Back Parts Window Associate.
• Provide accurate estimates and written vehicle reports to the Service Advisor.
• Ensure that an unsafe vehicle is reported to management and vehicle owner.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
