Canadian Tire Stores in Canada is seeking an Automotive Service Installer to join a fast-paced service centre environment. The role covers oil and lube services, tire installation, rotation, balancing, and light maintenance and repairs.

You will work with a friendly team, participate in ongoing training, and enjoy benefits like employee discounts and group plans while contributing to community outreach.

Formación

• Valid driver’s license required for province of employment.
• Must be able to perform physical tasks including standing for long periods and lifting.
• Willingness to work day/evening/weekend shifts and holidays.
• Good customer service and approachable demeanor.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Knowledge of current automobile technology is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Perform basic vehicle maintenance and repairs (oil changes, tire work, light inspections).
• Execute drive clean tests where required by province/state.
• Carry out RIV inspections as applicable.
• Communicate with Service Manager and advisors and technicians.
• Provide accurate estimates and vehicle reports to the Service Advisor.
• Report unsafe vehicles to management and owners.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform customer vehicle basic maintenance and repairs, as requested (lube, oil and filter changes / remove, install, rotate and balance tires / basic repairs, maintenance and inspections that do not require the presence of a Licensed Automobile Technician, etc.).
• Administer drive clean emission tests (only in specific provinces).
• Perform Registered Imported Vehicles (RIV) inspections.
• Communicate with Service Manager/Service Advisors/Licensed Automobile Technicians and Back Parts Window Associate.
• Provide accurate estimates and written vehicle reports to the Service Advisor.
• Ensure that an unsafe vehicle is reported to management and vehicle owner.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations.

Requirements / Skills

• Valid driver’s license for province of employment
• Ability to handle physical demands including standing/walking for 8 hours while frequently lifting and carrying items, twisting, turning and reaching
• Ability to work shifts (days, evenings, week-ends and holidays)
• Approachable
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to find solutions to problems, adapt and cope with challenging situations and make decisions
• Knowledge of current automobile technology
• Ability to work effectively with computerized systems
• Results-oriented
• Experience in a similar role, in a Canadian Tire Automotive Service Centre (asset)
• Good working knowledge of COSTAR (asset)
