Job summary

NewRoads Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, a division of OpenRoad Automotive Group, is seeking a Service Advisor in Ontario to deliver outstanding customer care in our Service department.

You will greet customers, assess vehicle issues, prepare estimates, and coordinate repairs while upholding our hospitality and teamwork standards.

Qualifications

• Chrysler experience is considered a strong asset.
• Excellent customer service with a strong focus on hospitality.
• 1 to 3 years of Service Advisor experience.
• Ability to multi-task, organize and be detail-oriented.
• Clean Driver's Abstract.

Responsibilities

• Greeting each customer in a prompt, courteous manner and informing those in line they will be helped soon.
• Communicating with service customers to determine the nature of mechanical problems.
• Securing agreement from customers before repairs; covering cost estimate; and approximate time when vehicle's work will be completed.
• Maintaining dealership-prescribed standards for hours per repair order written.
• Advising customers on the care of their cars and the value of maintaining their vehicles per manufacturer specifications.
• Explaining optional services, warranty information, and policies to customers.
• Handling minor customer complaints and misunderstandings.
• Communicating the need for additional work, including costs and time, and documenting on the repair order.
• Following up on progress and updating customers about changes to estimates or times.
• Handling telephone inquiries and scheduling; returning messages promptly.
• Staying up to date on technical and performance information for all vehicles serviced by the dealship.
• Advising about parts ordered and scheduling installation before the customer leaves.
• Refer leads to vehicle sales and assist the Service Manager as necessary.

ROLE &RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greeting each customer ina prompt, courteous manner, letting customers who are waiting in line knowthat they will be helped soon;
• Communicating with servicecustomers to determine the nature of the mechanical problems;
• Securing agreement fromcustomers before repairs; covering cost estimate; and approximate timewhen vehicle's work will be completed;
• Maintaining adequlership-prescribed standard for "hours per customer repair orderwritten";
• Advising customers on thecare of their cars and the value of maintaining their vehicles inaccordance with the manufacturer's specifications, using maintenancemenus;
• Explaining optionalservices, warranty information, and policies to customers;
• Handling minor customercomplaints and misunderstandings;
• Communicating the need foradditional work when needed, explaining the details to the customer,including the additional cost and time consideration, and documentingproperly on the repair order;
• Following up on theprogress of each repair order during the day, contacting customersregarding changes in the estimate or time promised;
• Handling telephoneinquiries regarding work in process and appointments and returning phone messagespromptly;
• Staying up to date ontechnical and performance information on all vehicles serviced by thedealership;
• Advising customers ofparts ordered and making an appointment to have them installed before thecustomer leaves;
• Refer leads and prospectsfor vehicle sales to the new and pre-owned sales departments;
• Assisting the ServiceManager as necessary.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Chrysler experience isconsidered a strong asset
• Excellent customer servicewith a strong focus on hospitality
• 1 to 3 years of ServiceAdvisor experience
• Ability to multi-task,organize and be detail-oriented
