Job summary

Magna International - Cosma International is seeking a Quality Engineer in Canada to provide technical quality support for production concerns and new program launches. You will verify quality standards across processes and finished goods, and contribute to PPAP and APQP activities within a Tier 1 automotive context.

The role requires a community college diploma, 5–7 years of related experience, and a mechanical/quality engineering background.

Qualifications

• Completion of community college diploma/certificate.
• 5-7 years of work-related experience.
• Completion of a post-secondary education program in mechanical/quality engineering.
• ASQC certification preferred (CQE).
• Tier 1 automotive experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead PPAP timing and phased PPAP processes.
• Ensure APQP requirements are tracked with milestones.
• Review Government Approvals and develop inspection standards.
• Lead plant trials for engineering changes, tool moves and new program launches.
• Lead launch and warranty issue resolution for customer quality concerns.
• Coordinate and participate in internal/supplier drawing reviews.
• Prepare and complete control plans and inspection matrices.
