Job summary

AutoCanada is seeking an Assistant Parts Manager for Dodge City in Saskatoon. This role oversees procurement, inventory management, and distribution of automotive parts, coordinating with suppliers, technicians, and stakeholders to ensure right parts at the right time.

You’ll lead a team of parts specialists, develop cost-effective procurement strategies, and ensure compliance with safety standards. Applicants should have 3+ years in a dealership Parts Dept leadership role and be legally

Qualifications

• 3+ years in an automotive dealership Parts Department in a leadership role.
• Valid driver’s license and legal work eligibility in Canada.
• Pre-employment background and MVR screen required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Strong understanding of Parts and Service operations and inventory management.
• Knowledge of provincial safety code requirements for dealerships.
• Advanced working knowledge of CDK dealer management system.
• Ability to meet physical demands (standing, walking, lifting, etc.).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Competitive spirit and resilience to meet monthly objectives.

• Manage and maintain inventory levels of automotive parts.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies for cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate pricing and terms.
• Monitor market trends to anticipate parts demand.
• Ensure safety and quality standards compliance.

• Resolve issues related to parts availability or quality.
• Promote and sell parts to customers and identify new opportunities.
• Complete paperwork, processing invoices, and related admin tasks.
