Job summary

Canadian Tire Stores is seeking an Automotive Parts Associate to deliver friendly service in a fast-paced retail environment, using a computerized parts lookup system and assisting customers and vendors with product recommendations.

No experience is required and training is provided; flexible work hours, employee discounts, and a strong culture of learning and community involvement are offered. This position supports a diverse, inclusive, and safe workplace.

Qualifications

• No experience required; we provide full training.
• Ability to work shifts including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Approachable and customer-focused.
• Physical ability to stand/walk for 8 hours, lift and carry items, and use a ladder.

Responsibilities

• Greet, assist and thank customers in a friendly manner, over the phone and in person.
• Source and order automotive parts through authorized suppliers.
• Process returns, warranties and castings as required.
• Recommend related products to customers so they leave with everything they need.
• Test and fill batteries, test starters and alternators.
• Ensure retail tasks are executed efficiently (stocking, labels, cleanliness).
• Perform hole checks to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations.

Requirements / Skills

• No experience is required!!! – We will provide all the training you need! You just need to be passionate about automotive
• Ability to work shifts (days, evenings, week-ends and holidays)
• Approachable
• Ability to handle physical demands including standing/walking for 8 hours while frequently lifting and carrying items, using a ladder, twisting, turning and reaching
• Strong computer skills
• Ability to find solutions to problems, adapt and cope with challenging situations and make decisions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
