Job summary

Midtown Honda is seeking a driven Automotive 310S Licensed Technician for our high-volume Toronto service department. You will diagnose, repair, and test vehicles under the Service Manager, with opportunities for career growth in a premier dealership setting.

We welcome 310S licensed technicians and level-3 apprentices pursuing their Red Seal. A strong work ethic, valid license, and ability to lift heavy items are essential for success in our fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed automotive service tech (310S) with ability to diagnose and repair vehicles.
• Level 3 apprentices welcome to pursue 310S Red Seal.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Able to lift heavy items and stand long periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair orders with efficiency and accuracy per dealership standards.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Inform service advisor if additional work is needed or if timelines change.
• Document all work and diagnostic trouble codes on the repair order.
• Road test vehicles as required and reference job aid forms.
• Participate in manufacturer training and recall bulletins follow-up.
• Meet Xtime KPI targets as directed by management.

The Service Technician, under the direction of the Service Manager, will primarily be responsible for conducting diagnostic procedures to determine vehicle maintenance requirements and providing accurate repairs for our customers' vehiclesEstablished in 1972, Midtown Honda holds the historic distinction of being the oldest Honda dealership in Canada. Job Qualifications

• 310S Licensed Automotive Service Technician
• Now accepting level 3 apprentices who are ready and driven to write their 310S Red Seal
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift heavy items and to stand for long periods of time

Job Requirements

• Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards
• Diagnoses cause of malfunctions and performs repair
• Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts
• Communicates with service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time
• Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order including diagnostic trouble codes and cause and correction.
• Road tests vehicles when required and references job aid forms to qualify complaint
• Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events
• Reviewing manufacturer’s recall bulletins and ensuring that all steps are followed as per the guidelines set forth by the manufacturer
• Ensure that you are achieving all Xtime KPI’s as directed by the management team
