Job summary

Hexagon’s Autonomy & Positioning division is seeking a Software Infrastructure Designer to join the Software Infrastructure team in Calgary. You will design, develop and implement scalable testing platforms and automation to support verification of software and hardware products.

You will build Python packages, dashboards and tooling to automate tasks, while collaborating with CI/CD pipelines and multiple stakeholders to improve reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Expertise in Python.
• Experience with CI/CD systems such as GitLab, Jenkins and GitHub.
• Proven ability to create good user interfaces and APIs.
• Experience with various software testing methodologies.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support, design, and develop Jenkins/GitLab/GitHub based automated testing platforms.
• Identify tools and automate manual tasks.
• Identify and solve testing infrastructure problems.
• Build new testing infrastructure to support expanding demand and capacity.
• Develop dashboards to present data for stakeholders.
• Support, design and develop Python packages for the infrastructure ecosystem.
• Identify areas for major refactor changes in Python packages.
