Job summary

Hexagon's Autonomous Solutions offers a Software Test Engineering Intern position based in Calgary, AB, from May 3, 2027 to May 1, 2028. You will design and execute verification scripts in Python, deploy tests in Jenkins, and analyze GNSS/INS data under supervision.

You will contribute to validation traceability, document tests, and engage in process improvements while collaborating with a skilled STE team. This hands-on internship emphasizes software verification and testing methodologies.

Qualifications

• Registered in the Computer Science or Engineering Internship/Co-op program and have completed at least your 2nd or 3rd year of studies by the start of your work term
• Enrolled in Computer Science, Geomatics, Computer Software Engineering or any field related to software development at an accredited post-secondary institution
• Strong communication skills (oral and written) and the ability to work in an inclusive and collaborative team environment
• Available for a minimum 12 month work term at our Calgary office location, 37.5 hours a week
• Strong academic credentials
• Valid class 5 driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Design, execute and maintain verification and validation scripts written in Python
• Deploy and monitor tests in a continuous integration system (Jenkins)
• Collect and analyze real-world GNSS/INS data
• Refine functional and performance requirements for validation traceability
• Document test design, specifications, runs, results, and compliance to requirements
• Troubleshoot test failures and investigate issues for root cause analysis
• Participate in process improvement activities
