Job summary

Hexagon’s Autonomous Solutions division in Calgary, Alberta seeks a Software Test Designer to design, run, and automate verification and validation tests for embedded GNSS/INS products. You will analyze data, maintain tests, and ensure traceability from requirements to results, working with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Geomatics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• 1+ year of relevant industry experience, including co-op.
• Experience writing and debugging Python or C++ applications.
• Strong commitment to high-quality work and continuous improvement.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience analyzing technical datasets and interpreting results.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and maintain verification and validation tests for embedded GNSS/INS products.
• Deploy, monitor, and maintain automated tests within a CI environment.
• Collect, analyze, and evaluate GNSS/INS data from OEM and enclosure products.
• Create and maintain test specifications, scripts, results, and traceability documentation.
• Troubleshoot test failures and investigate root causes.
• Participate in continuous improvement to enhance product quality and testing efficiency.
• Collaborate with developers, systems engineers, product managers, and project managers to deliver world-class products.
