Job summary

Rexel Canada, operating diverse banners including Westburne, seeks an Automation Sales Manager in Burnaby, BC. You will drive Rockwell Controllers, HMI and networks sales, reporting to the Regional Automation Manager and supporting customers with deep technical knowledge.

You’ll develop annual sales plans, run commercial activities, pursue new business, and assist colleagues with account planning and technical solutions. Occasional travel to the US is required.

Qualifications

• Electrical/Electronic/Automation Technology diploma or degree.
• Minimum 2 years in automation or technical product sales/support.
• Understanding of key selling frameworks and account planning.

Responsibilities

• Own regional sales for Rockwell controllers, HMI and networks in BC.
• Develop and execute annual strategic business plan for sales growth.
• Support and train Rockwell resellers with account planning.
• Travel to the US regularly for training and engagements.
• Deliver technical presentations and post-sale support to customers.

What You Will Do With Us

As the Automation Sales Manager based in Burnaby, you are responsible for Rockwell Controllers, HMI and Networks to support the geographical territory of BC. Reporting to the Regional Automation Manager, you will represent the a portfolio of Allen-Bradley software & control products & services supporting both internal and external customers with in-depth technical and application knowledge while being responsible for the sales performance of their product discipline within the assigned territory.

• You will prepare and execute an annual strategic business plan for sales development.


• You will develop and execute commercial activities as a component of an annual strategic business plan.


• You will actively manage an opportunity funnel that is appropriate for achieving sales objectives.

• You will support Westburne and Rockwell Automation sales representatives with account planning and execution.


• You will act as a pre-sale technical consultant to provide technical solutions to customers.


• You will provide post-sale technical support to build the competency and confidence of customers.


• You will conduct technical presentations and product updates.


• You must be able to travel to the US regularly or as needed for training as this is required for the position.


• You will execute product launches, seminars, promotional programs, etc.


• You will implement strategies to address competition and expand market penetration using available marketing tools.

Who Are You

• You have an Electrical/Electronic/Automation Technology diploma or degree from a recognized institution.


• You have a minimum of 2-years of previous experience in automation or technical product sales/support.


• You have an understanding of sales principles such as Strategic Selling, Customer-Centric Selling, Conceptual Selling, etc.


• You have strong time management, organizational and problem-solving skills


• You have a technical understanding of electrical circuits. Working knowledge of industrial automation is preferred.


• You have product and application knowledge of Rockwell Automation Controllers, HMI's and software.


• You are able to accurately interpret single-line electrical drawings


• You have an understanding of industrial networking and Ethernet I/P.


• **Valid driver's license and passport will be required for this position.
