Job summary

Wainbee is seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Designer to transform customer requirements into practical, safe, and cost-effective automation designs. You will own the defined design scope, coordinate with project teams, and escalate risks early to protect delivery.

You will execute practical CAD designs, review concepts with Sales and Project Management, and ensure documentation and release discipline. Strong communication and hands-on experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and PDM are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Systems Design, Engineering Physics, Engineering Science, or related discipline.
• 6-8 years of mechanical design experience in custom automation or machine design.
• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks, PDM, AutoCAD and related tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical components and subsystems that are safe, manufacturable, and cost-effective.
• Coordinate with project teams and customers to ensure scope and timelines.
• Prepare drawings, BOMs, and release documentation before shop release.
• Source components and quotation requests for mechanical/pneumatic/hydraulic parts.
