Job summary

Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group seeks a Business Process Analyst, Process Automation to join our Investment Resource Group. You will partner with business SMEs to identify automation opportunities and translate needs into clear requirements and plans.

You will design, develop, and implement automation using Python, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Power Platform, Excel, and VBA, collaborating across global teams to deliver scalable, well-governed solutions with rigorous testing.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Business Administration.
• Experience in investment operations or financial services with focus on processes and controls.
• Ability to translate business needs into clear requirements and practical solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities for efficiency and controls.
• Experience with requirements discovery, process mapping, and future-state design.
• Hands-on development with Python, Power BI, Excel, Power Platform; VBA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business SMEs to identify automation opportunities and understand current-state processes.
• Translate objectives into defined requirements, scope, and implementation plans.
• Analyze processes, data flows, and dependencies; define scope and future-state processes.
• Design, develop, and implement automation using Python, Fabric, Power BI, and Power Platform.
• Collaborate with business users and technical teams through design, testing, and deployment.
• Define testing and validation approaches, including edge cases and controls.
• Document requirements, process flows, and solution designs in a structured manner.
• Support automation solutions by investigating production issues and resolutions.
• Champion governance and scalable development practices.
• Gather feedback and promote adoption and continuous improvement.
• Educate users on automation capabilities and best practices.
• Build relationships across global teams to standardize automation approaches.
