CA$35.00 / hr - CA$42.00 / hr
Job Summary : You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial electrical equipment as well as associated electrical and electronic controls.
Job Location : London, ON
Job Type : Full-time, permanent.
Compensation Structure : $35-$42 per hour, depending on experience.
Shift Structure : Straight Days; Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities :
- Work with members of the Electrical, Controls and Design, and other teams to continuously improve methods and tools for integrating electrical design to enhance safety and functionality and to ensure that cost and schedule budgets are adhered to or improved upon.
- Ensure scheduled milestones relating to electrical design and integration are achieved.
- Collaborate with Electrical Lead to set goals and manage successful performance.
- Work with team members, customers, project managers, designers, toolmakers, and controls specialists to solve problems and provide the customer with a product or service that fulfills their requirements.
- Travel to customer locations to install machines (Note- There is 5-20% travel required, so a passport will be necessary. Our client covers all travel expenses, offers daily per diem while travelling, and all the time spent travelling (car rides, plane rides) will be paid as well. Our client also has company trucks available for day trips, and if those are unavailable or already in use, the client offers $0.55 / km mileage reimbursement as well.)
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.
- Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, lighting fixtures and other electrical components.
- Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance.
- Maintain, repair, install and test switchgear, transformers, motors, hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance / new install records.
- Install, maintain, and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices.
- Layout, assemble, wire custom control panels.
Skills / Qualifications :
- 442A Electrician ticket or equivalent experience
- Clean criminal record and either Canadian Citizen or PR to qualify for Controlled Goods Program.
- Must be able to possess a valid passport for travel purposes.
- Must be capable of working as part of a team.
- A thorough knowledge of the use of electrical devices.
- Must be capable of giving and taking direction.
- Must demonstrate a strong ability to conceptualize and create solutions for complex design requirements.
- Able to independently complete all specific responsibilities with minimal supervision.
- Strong electrical problem-solving skills.
- A demonstrated understanding of electrical panel building, field wiring, safety systems, robotics, and machine operation with hands-on experience is a must.
