A leading company is seeking a Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician to troubleshoot and repair Caterpillar machinery. The role involves documentation, customer interactions, and teamwork with the Finning staff while ensuring safety and operational efficiency, requiring certain certifications and a willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and recent driver abstract required.
• Previous Caterpillar experience is an asset.
• Willingness to participate in additional training.

• Utilizing Caterpillar SIS and ET daily.
• Completing technical documentation such as service reports and warranty notes.

Job description

• Troubleshooting and repairing Caterpillar and other mechanical equipment.
• Utilize Caterpillar SIS and ET daily.
• Complete technical documentation (service reports, warranty, crossover notes)
• Interact with customers, sales support, and the rest of the Finning team.
• Work with the Service Supervisor and Leadhand on various tasks as required.

Qualifications :

• Journeyperson Electrical Certification
• Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) Certification
• Valid driver's license with a successful recent driver abstract.
• Previous Caterpillar experience is an asset.
• Willingness to participate and complete additional training.
• Self-motivated, computer literate, and safety orientated with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills

Note :

• Travel is required throughout Alberta and NWT
• Preference for candidate locations are Edmonton, Calgary, Red Deer and Grande Prairie
• This position will work a 7x7 continuous shift
