Job summary

Canadian Executive Search Group seeks a Controls Designer in Windsor, ON to design and develop electrical and pneumatic schematics for automated manufacturing equipment. You will work with Mechanical Designers, Controls Engineers, and Shop Floor personnel to ensure designs meet codes, project requirements, and timelines.

This role requires strong AutoCAD Electrical experience, attention to detail, and the ability to support multiple automation projects simultaneously.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in electrical design within automation/manufacturing environments.
• Two-year technical diploma or four-year degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Automation, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical.
• Experience creating electrical and pneumatic schematics for industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical and pneumatic schematics for automated manufacturing equipment using AutoCAD Electrical.
• Create detailed electrical drawings, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and control system documentation.
• Work closely with Mechanical Design, Controls Engineering, and Manufacturing teams throughout project development.
• Ensure all electrical designs comply with applicable industry standards, safety regulations, and customer requirements.
• Support automation, controls, drives, safety systems, and industrial networking projects.
• Review and update electrical drawings throughout project execution.
• Assist with troubleshooting design issues during machine build and commissioning phases.
• Coordinate design changes and ensure documentation is issued accurately and on schedule.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to design standards and documentation processes.
• Maintain organized project files and technical documentation.

• Schedule: Monday-Friday morning shift
• Pay: $35.00 – $48.00 per hour DOE + Benefits
