You’ll work where fiber optics, electronics, motion, and code all meet. This is primarily a software development role, but one that keeps you in the lab and on the manufacturing floor with the hardware you’re automating.**What You’ll Be Doing*** Own projects from requirements through to manufacturing deployment, working with the team to identify what’s needed, turning it into a clean and agreed set of requirements, producing a design that stands up to review, then implementing and documenting it* Build test and process automation systems that integrate a wide array of test, measurement, and automation equipment -- motion control stages, power supplies, fiber optic and laser sources, optical and electrical instrumentation, cameras and vision systems* Develop machine vision and inspection automation for manufacturing* Develop the data acquisition and analytics layers that turn raw measurement into engineering and production insight* Take on existing software: extend it, modernize it, keep it running* Work alongside design, process, manufacturing, and production teams, and communicate requirements, designs, and results clearly to all of them**What We’re Looking For****Education:**Degree in Engineering physics, Electrical engineering, or similar**Experience: Core Requirements:*** 5+ years in automation, test, or software engineering in a hardware environment.* Strong programming fundamentals. Our primary stack is C#/.NET on Windows, but we also use Python for a variety of applications, including Linux-based backend services, automation, and analytics. We also use various web technologies as the need arises.
