Job summary

PowerCo Canada Inc. in St. Thomas, Ontario, is offering a four-month Automation & Technical Training Co-op for a current student. You will support the development of hands-on training experiences, focusing on automation and learning equipment design, with in-person collaboration on shop floor projects.

You will contribute to curriculum creation, assist with project tracking, and tailor learning paths for different roles, while applying Siemens PLC knowledge and safety sensor concepts.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Strong problem-solving and hands-on mindset.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Basic knowledge of Siemens PLC and safety sensors.
• Availability for a 4-month co-op in St. Thomas, Ontario.

Your role and key responsibilities

As a Automation & Technical Training Co-op you will support the development of innovative, hands-on training solutions. This role focuses on enhancing technical training environments through automation and design of hands-on learning experiences.

This position is in-person and located in the town of St. Thomas ON. This is a 4 month co-op position for a current student in a Canadian institution.

• Currently completing a bachelors degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Robotics or related field.
• Strong problem-solving and hands-on mindset

• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Basic knowledge of Siemens PLC, Mechanical aptitude, vision systems & safety sensors
