Job Title: Automation and Controls Specialist

Job Description

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, including amusements, pulp & paper, food & beverage, and bulk material handling. The successful candidate will gain exposure to various industrial projects and will be responsible for programming PLCs and HMIs. This position primarily involves programming and troubleshooting during commissioning, with minimal travel required.

Responsibilities

• Program PLCs and HMIs for industrial projects.
• Troubleshoot and support commissioning processes.
• Adapt to different PLC programming languages as required by specific projects.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 4 years experience in programming PLCs and HMIs.
• Experience with an Integrator or Engineering firm.
• Proficiency in multiple PLC programming languages such as Allen-Bradley, Bosch, Schneider, Siemens.
• Experience in commissioning.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Strong communication skills for potential client interaction.
• Preferred experience with Bosch PLC.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to various control system brands.

Work Environment

The role is primarily remote with a preference for local candidates, though open to candidates from any location who possess the necessary technical skills. The team is small and agile, offering a structured yet flexible environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.87 - $52.89/hr.
