Canada Goose in Winnipeg, Manitoba is seeking an Automatic Spreader to spread lays and fabrics according to markers, maintain records, and ensure safe operation of spreaders. You will perform preventative maintenance, follow PPE guidelines, and coordinate with the cutting room supervisor to meet daily production targets.

Ideal candidates read markers, stay mindful of fabric usage, and can work in a fast-paced factory environment while prioritizing safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Able to read markers and spread fabric to maximize fabric usage.
• Strong initiative to consistently meet deadlines.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, moving and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Capable of setting up machine to specifications and performing preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Spread lays according to markers provided by Marker Making.
• Maintain daily records of spreading jobs and keep workspace and equipment clean and organized.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as required.
• Follow safety guidelines and use PPE.
• Notify supervisor of mechanical malfunctions and inspect machinery for repairs.
• Start machines, monitor operations, and adjust as needed.
• Confer with the supervisor to obtain information about orders, processes, or problems.
