Job description

Job Title: Automotive Body Repair Technician

Bemac Collision Group, a network of automotive repair locations across Ottawa and surrounding areas, is seeking an experienced Body Repair Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities

1. Review estimates and plan repairs efficiently.
2. Restore structural integrity of damaged vehicles by removing damaged components and welding or gluing in replacements as per OEM specifications.
3. Remove and install bolt-on components such as hoods, deck lids, fenders, trim, doors, glass, and interior components.
4. Repair or replace damaged body panels and sheet metal.
5. Verify dimensional accuracy and system functions using precise measuring systems and manufacturer specifications.
6. Use frame machines to straighten damaged frames and uni-bodies.
7. Perform light automotive mechanical repairs.
8. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
9. Track and record work performed and hours worked.
10. Collaborate with team members to deliver vehicles promptly.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in automotive body repair or related field.
• Valid driver's license.
• Red Seal certification is an asset.
• Ability to provide basic tools for daily tasks.
• Availability for a full-time schedule.
