Position Summary
The Aircraft Mechanic assembles, disassembles, and repairs various mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Main Responsibilities
- Detect structural, mechanical, or hydraulic aircraft problems and adjust and repair them according to specifications, technical drawings, manuals, and procedures.
- Repair and overhaul structural, mechanical, or hydraulic aircraft systems.
- Install and modify aircraft engines or other aircraft systems such as mechanical and hydraulic systems, flight control, fuel systems, and pneumatic systems.
- Dismantle airframes, engines, or other aircraft systems for repair, return to good condition, clean, and reassemble them.
- Perform routine maintenance and prepare reports.
- Check aircraft structural and mechanical systems to ensure they meet the performance and safety standards of Transport Canada and AAR MRO Services Windsor.
- Monitor quality of operations, identify anomalies, and make necessary corrections.
- Perform surveys of parameters and interpret the data accurately.
- Keep detailed reports on the repair, inspection, and certification of aircraft.
- Actively participate in AAR Aircraft Services Windsor’s Safety Management System (SMS), including reporting safety hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand and promote the company safety policy.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education, Licenses, Professional Designation, Certification or Courses Required
- M2 Transport Canada License.
- A320, 737 NG or Max Endorsements, Embraer 170/190 required.
- First Aid Certified or able to be trained.
Work Experience, Knowledge, and Technical Skills
- Minimum 5 years’ experience with License.
- Clear understanding of Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARS).
- Familiarity with manufacturers and regulatory documentation, including Service Bulletins, Engineering Drawings, etc., and ensuring thorough application of technical documentation.
- Possess a complete toolbox.
- Strong observation skills, good vision, and analytical mindset.
- Mastery in using complex testing equipment.
- Ability to meet quality, time, and cost commitments.
- Ability to read drawings and apply technical documentation rigorously.

Working Conditions
- Work on the hangar floor.
