Job summary

Canucks Autism Network (CAN) is seeking an Employment Support Worker to oversee onsite development of Autistic participants in CAN-STEP during work placements across Lower Mainland locations. The role may support 1–3 participants and involves coordinating supports and adapting tasks to individual needs.

Available immediately, part-time (15–30 hours/week) with shifts 8am–6pm, weekdays or weekends. Compensation is $25/hr plus 10% in lieu of benefits ($27.50/hr).

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Over 2 years of experience supporting individuals on the Autism spectrum.
• Consent to a Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supports to CAN-SKSTEP participants at employer worksites.
• Adapt job duties to participants' capabilities using visual supports and hands-on demonstrations.
• Guide participants in workplace culture, interactions, and task completion.
• Implement long-term supports to help participants work independently.
• Coordinate with the CAN-STEP Employment Team for needs and supports.
• Provide onsite training to employers on participant support.
• Provide feedback to participants and document observations weekly.
