Job summary

Canucks Autism Network (CAN) is seeking enthusiastic Support Workers to help autistic children participate in CAN programs across the Fraser Valley this Fall 2026 season. Roles include 1:1 or small group support, fostering safe, inclusive environments, and working with onsite Supervisors, Coaches, and volunteers.

Requirements include being at least 16, ability to obtain police checks, and availability for evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Ability to obtain a Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends (as required by programming).
• If applying for a skate program: must be able to skate forwards, backwards and stop with ease.
• If applying for a swim program: must be able to support a beginner swimmer in depths up to 6ft.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for participants.
• Adapt activities so all participants can meaningfully engage.
• Support individual goals and development (skills, independence, communication).
• Assist with health, safety and well-being under supervision and guidance.
• Collaborate with coaches, onsite supervisors, and volunteers to run CAN programs.
