Job summary

Canucks Autism Network in Kamloops is seeking dedicated Support Workers for the Fall 2026 Season to assist autistic participants in CAN programs across multiple sites in Kamloops.

Applicants should be 16+, able to obtain CRC/VSC, and available evenings and weekends; both 1:1 and group support are possible, with training provided and a focus on dignity, safety, and inclusion for every participant.

Qualifications

• Understanding of autism, neurodiversity, and supports for autistic youth/adults.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Active listening and inclusive engagement.
• Experience supporting autistic individuals or diverse needs is an asset.
• Post-secondary education or certifications related to caregiving/support (asset).

Responsibilities

• Support participants 1:1 or in small groups as needed.
• Create a safe, welcoming, inclusive environment.
• Adapt activities to enable meaningful participation for all participants.
• Collaborate with staff, supervisors, and volunteers.
• Maintain safety, documentation, and adherence to CAN policies.
