Job summary

Canucks Autism Network (CAN) is seeking Support Workers for the Fall 2026 Season in Kelowna, BC. Roles involve 1:1 or group support across Multisport, Swim, and Skate programs, with supervision from onsite staff and coaches.

We welcome applicants who understand autism, value dignity and choice, and can contribute to inclusive, safe, and engaging activities for participants aged 3–18+ in community settings throughout BC.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Ability to obtain a Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends (as required by programming).
• For skate programs: able to skate and support beginners on ice.
• For swim programs: able to support beginner swimmers up to 6 ft.
• Post-secondary education or related experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for participants.
• Adapt activities so all participants can meaningfully engage.
• Support individual goals and development (skills, independence, communication).
• Demonstrate awareness of participant needs (physical, cognitive, emotional).
