Job summary

Germain Hotels in Canada is seeking a Night Auditor to manage overnight guest arrivals and departures, reconcile deposits, and prepare reports. You will respond to emergencies with calm judgment and maintain communication with the day team to ensure seamless transitions.

The ideal candidate has hotel or accounting exposure, night audit experience is a plus, and a proactive, organized, and trustworthy approach is required.

Qualifications

• Hotel or accounting background is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the security of the premises during the night, including decision making in emergencies.
• Check-in and check-out guests, verify and detail them, and ensure smooth communication with the morning shift and other departments.

We're looking for an autonomous Night Auditor with an open and empathetic attitude, who will be responsible for guest arrivals and departures, as well as recording the day's transactions and always being ready to respond to an urgent situation.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Perform all night audit accounting tasks, including: reconciling deposits, resolving account chargebacks and producing reports.
• Ensure the security of the premises during the night, which means knowing how to make important decisions in the event of an emergency.
• Check-in and check-out guests, verify and detail them, and ensure that internal activities run smoothly, so that communication with the next morning's work team and colleagues in other departments always runs smoothly.
