Job summary

Park Hyatt Toronto, located in Yorkville, seeks a Night Auditor to join our luxury hotel team. This role blends guest services with back‑office financial duties, including balancing daily reports and handling overnight transactions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process nightly audit procedures and system backups.
• Audit, balance, and report on cash, credit, and charge transactions.

• Identify and report discrepancies to the Director of Finance.
• Input data for daily financial reports and journal entries.
• Balance and close bank ticket codes daily.
• Provide overnight guest services including check-in/check-out and concierge assistance.
• Support front office team and handle emergencies with a calm demeanor.

SUMMARY

About the Role– Night Audit

Hourly Rate: $29.31

The Night Auditor plays a critical role in both the overnight operations and the guest experience. This position combines guest-facing responsibilities with back-end financial duties, ensuring our high standards of service continue 24 hours a day. You’ll act as the point of contact for guests throughout the night, while also preparing and balancing financial reports to ensure accuracy across all hotel systems.

Some of the responsibilities include:

• Prepare and process daily night audit procedures and system back-ups.
• Audit, balance, and report on all cash, credit, and charge transactions, including deposits, over/short figures, postings, and house charges.
• Review and reconcile front desk accounts, including room charges, folios, taxes, adjustments, and disputed charges.
• Ensure discrepancies are identified and reported to the Director of Finance promptly.
• Input statistical data and income journal entries for the preparation of daily financial reports.
• Balance and close all bank ticket codes daily.
• Provide overnight guest services, including check-in/check-out, wake-up calls, and concierge assistance.
• Perform duties as needed in the absence of Bell, Door, or Valet services.
• Maintain a calm and professional presence in emergency situations; be knowledgeable of all front office and emergency procedures.
• Ensure guest safety and comfort throughout the overnight hours.
• Support the overall success of the Front Office team with any other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous Front Office or Night Audit experience in a luxury hotel setting is a strong asset
• Service-focused personality with excellent problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in property management systems (e.g., Opera) is an asset
• Flexible availability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays
