The Office of Risk Management (ORM) supports the implementation of programs, policies, and practices to manage RSM Canada LLP's risks. Within ORM, Audit Quality & Risk Management (AQRM) monitors the firm’s audit practice through activities such as overseeing the System of Quality Management (CSQM 1), facilitating regulatory inspections (including CPA bodies and CPAB), internal monitoring, and other projects. AQRM collaborates with the National Professional Standards Group (NPSG) to develop and monitor policies, tools, guidance, and training. Relocation is not required. The Senior Manager will also collaborate with RSM US LLP on certain projects.
Responsibilities :
- Assist and report to the Audit Quality and Risk Leader in Canada.
- Lead and oversee engagement level monitoring and internal monitoring programs to ensure compliance with organizational, global, and regulatory standards.
- Manage monitoring related to the firm’s System of Quality Management (SOQM) and its implementation of CSQM1 / ISQM1, liaising with the SOQM evaluation team.
- Coordinate the inspection process by regulatory bodies, assessing root causes of findings, and developing risk management and remediation plans.
- Coach and support engagement teams during external file inspections.
- Collaborate with AQRM members on the annual evaluation of the SOQM for continuous improvement.
- Lead root cause analyses on audit quality issues identified through various reviews and monitoring activities.
- Prepare and present updates to leadership and communicate audit quality matters to senior executives.
- Handle various assignments related to incident response, compliance, and other ad hoc projects.
- Participate in quality initiatives, including coaching on audit quality topics and delivering professional education courses.
- Perform additional monitoring, quality initiatives, and ad hoc projects as directed.
Required Qualifications :
- CPA license in good standing in your principal place of business.
- Minimum of 8 years of post-qualification experience.
- Working knowledge of CAS, IFRS, and ASPE.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Proven track record of excellence and performance.
- Strong interpersonal skills and adaptability to change.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely across diverse audiences.
- Ability to develop and maintain professional and internal networks.
- Discretion and confidentiality in handling internal information.

Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience with CPAB, PCAOB, or CPA provincial inspections.
- Familiarity with audit tools such as CaseWare, IDEA, Data Snipper, Alteryx, or similar.
- Ability to adapt quickly to regulatory and firm changes.
- Experience auditing internal controls in a large professional services environment.
- Leadership in supervising and reviewing inspection results and projects.
- Ability to lead by understanding team dynamics.
- Capability to support and implement change effectively.

Compensation Range : $105,000 - $178,500
Selected individuals will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on performance.
