Duties
As an Audit Professional in IT audit, you will work with team members from diverse backgrounds auditing various government entities and systems. Our team is unique in that we work on many of the OAG’s audits while collaborating and advising with OAG staff across Canada.As IT audit specialists supporting audits at the OAG, we provide advice and assistance in assessing IT risks and leading various IT audits. Mainly, we perform IT general control (ITGC) audits and perform IT risk assessments as they relate to financial audit.If you enjoy variety and working on diverse, interesting, and challenging projects, and you are resourceful, innovative, and enthusiastic about technology, you would be a great fit for our team! Your duties will include, but will not be limited to:

• Participating and assisting in ITGC audits, including planning and executing audit procedures, reviewing and analyzing evidence, and documenting processes and procedures;
• Assessing the design, implementation, and operating effectiveness of ITGCs;
• Working with audit team members and audit entities in identifying, analyzing, and documenting IT control risks;
• Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with audit team members and audit entities;
• Developing and communicating clear recommendations that address identified key risks.

Having or in the process of obtaining certificates in information security, such as CISA, CRISC, CISSP and/or other.

• 1. Recent experience** in the executing and reporting of general IT control audits, IT performance audits, internal IT control assessments, service organization control audits, and/or other control risk assessments related to IT.
• 2. Recent experience with SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, Microsoft Dynamics and/or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
• 3. Recent experience in external financial statement audit.
• 4. Recent experience working in internal audit.
• 5. Recent experience working in audit methodology applying Canadian Auditing Standards (CAS).
• 6. Basic scripting skills (e.g., Python)** Recent experience is defined as recent and significant experience that is the depth and breadth of experience associated with the performance of duties on a continuous basis over approximately two (2) years within the past five (5) years.
