Job summary

HearCANADA Lethbridge is seeking a part-time, fixed-term audiologist or hearing instrument practitioner for a 2-3 month contract to cover a leave. Hours are Mon-Fri 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.

The role offers compensation based on experience, with 8% pay in lieu of PTO and benefits due to the contract nature. Candidates must be licensed and able to practice in Alberta.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

HearCANADA Lethbridge is seeking a fixed-term (contract) part-time Audiologist or Registered Hearing Aid Practitioner for our clinic based on Southgate Blvd South. This position will cover a short-term leave; candidates seeking full-time hours may be considered. The expected contract duration will be 2-3 months based on the start date. Hours of work would fall within regular clinic hours Monday through Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm local time.

• Compensation range: $34.36 - $52.30 / hour based on experience and qualifications + 8% pay in lieu of paid time off and benefits based on the contract nature of the role.

What You Will Do

• Support existing and new clients in their hearing journey by providing an assortment of audiological assessments and hearing evaluations
• Staying abreast of new trends in hearing aid promotions, fittings, and technological advancements to make the most meaningful recommendations to clients
• Building relationships with clients to ensure appropriate care is provided and post-care solutions are recommended
• Collaborating with our clinic team members to support both walk-in clients and inbound phone calls

What We Are Looking For

• A graduate of a recognized Hearing Instrument Specialist (or other provincial equivalent) or Audiology program
• Unrestricted ability to practice in the Audiology field and registration with your provincial governing body in good standing
• Working knowledge of hearing health care products and services with diagnostic/dispensing experience
• An excellent communicator who can establish a professional and individualized rapport with clients and team members
• Comfortability in making product and service recommendations to clients and providing patient-centric education to clients to ensure product adoption
• Experience with WSA brands (Widex, Signia, and/or Rexton) would be a definite asset, though not required
