Job summary

HearCANADA in Sudbury, ON is seeking a Hearing Care Professional to perform hearing evaluations and advise clients on device options to improve their hearing journey.

In this permanent, full-time role, you will educate clients, document records, and collaborate with clinic colleagues to address concerns while helping grow our patient-centric approach. Typical hours are 8:30 am–4:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a recognized Hearing Instrument Specialist or Audiology program.
  • Unrestricted ability to practice in the Audiology field and registration with your provincial governing body in good standing.
  • Working knowledge of hearing health care products and services with diagnostic/dispensing experience.
  • Excellent communication and ability to establish professional rapport with clients and team members.

Responsibilities

  • Provide audiological assessments and hearing evaluations for clients.
  • Stay current with trends in hearing aid promotions, fittings, and technology to make meaningful recommendations.
  • Build relationships with clients to ensure appropriate care and post-care solutions.
  • Collaborate with clinic team to support walk-in clients and inbound calls.

Position Overview

As a Hearing Care Professional with HearCANADA, you are passionate about the hearing healthcare of our clients. In this role, you will be responsible for performing hearing evaluations, ensuring a high standard of client care, making product recommendations, ensuring product adoption through client education and training on features and maintenance, and collaborating closely with colleagues to address client concerns, maintain records, and participate in local events.

This is a permanent, full-time role and typical hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm local time at our Sudbury, ON clinic.

What You Will Do
  • Support existing and new clients in their hearing journey by providing an assortment of audiological assessments and hearing evaluations
  • Staying abreast of new trends in hearing aid promotions, fittings, and technological advancements to make the most meaningful recommendations to clients
  • Building relationships with clients to ensure appropriate care is provided and post-care solutions are recommended
  • Collaborating with our clinic team members to support both walk-in clients and inbound phone calls
What We Are Looking For
  • A graduate of a recognized Hearing Instrument Specialist (or other provincial equivalent) or Audiology program
  • Unrestricted ability to practice in the Audiology field and registration with your provincial governing body in good standing
  • Working knowledge of hearing health care products and services with diagnostic/dispensing experience
  • An excellent communicator who can establish a professional and individualized rapport with clients and team members
  • Comfortability in making product and service recommendations to clients and providing patient-centric education to clients to ensure product adoption
  • Experience with WSA brands (Widex, Signia, and/or Rexton) would be a definite asset, though not required
