Job summary

RSM US LLP in Canada seeks a Manager to join our Assurance team, coordinating audits of financial statements and related deliverables to provide high-quality client service. You will lead engagement teams, assess risk, supervise seniors and supervisors, and maintain strong client contact while developing others within the firm.

You will travel up to 25% of the year as needed, ensuring adherence to GAAP/GAAS or IFRS standards and contributing to profitable engagements through strong leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) degree or equivalent from a recognized university.
• CPA, CA, or ACCA Certification.
• 5+ years of current or recent experience in a public accounting environment.
• Experience leading teams and mentoring associates.
• Understanding of audit services with knowledge of GAAP/GAAS and IFRS regulations.
• Proven record of building profitable client relationships.
• Minimum of 4 years of team lead or in-charge experience overseeing staff on multiple engagements.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, high quality client service coordinating audits of financial statements and related deliverables.
• Assess risk and design audit procedures for engagement teams.
• Understand and apply RSM’s Audit Methodology.
• Manage multiple engagement teams and prepare end-of-engagement evaluations.
• Supervise seniors and supervisors, coaching and reviewing work product.
• Maintain client contacts and assess impacts of significant business developments.
• Develop staff through training and career guidance.
• Identify opportunities to expand services and manage engagement profitability.
