Job summary

RSM Canada is seeking a Supervisor to join our Private Client Services team in Toronto. You will lead engagements, supervise staff, and deliver high-quality financial statements and disclosures while coordinating audits and other assurance services.

We expect 4+ years in assurance, a CPA trajectory, and strong GAAP knowledge. The role requires travel up to 25% and offers a competitive benefits package within a dynamic, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in accounting or related field from an accredited university.
• Active CPA license or progress toward CPA licensure in province of residence.
• 4+ years of assurance experience in public accounting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Experience leading portions of audits from planning through completion.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team through the entire process, preparing financial statements and related disclosures.
• Coordinate audits, reviews, and compilations of financial statements and tax returns.
• Develop understanding of client business and needs.
• Collaborate on engagement approach and execute the plan using a risk-based method.
• Supervise associates and seniors and monitor productivity and budgets.
• Interact with clients to ensure smooth information flow and issue resolution.
• Identify opportunities for service expansion and professional development.
