Job summary

BDO Canada’s Saskatoon office is seeking a Co-op/Intern Student to join the Assurance team for a 4-month term starting in May 2027. You will gain exposure to financial reporting, analysis, compliance, and teamwork while supporting tax returns and assurance engagements.

You will learn through hands-on assignments, mentorship, and access to Canada’s leading CPA prep resources, with flexible study leave and a collaborative, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• You are currently working towards a degree/diploma, focused in accounting.
• You have a desire to provide outstanding client service and a commitment to teamwork.
• You have proven leadership skill and can take initiative to seek understanding.
• You display strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently utilize technical knowledge from courses to prepare tax returns for a variety of clients.
• Contribute to tax compliance projects and other assignments per regulatory standards.
• Gather evidence for Assurance and Accounting engagements.
• Build positive working relationships with clients and effectively respond to request and suggestions.
• Participate in business development initiatives and identify new business opportunities with existing clients.
• Effectively communicate with team members regarding progress updates and issues on an ongoing basis.
