Job summary

BDO Canada in Calgary is seeking a Co-op or Intern Student to join the Assurance team for a 4-month term starting January 2027. You will gain exposure to financial reporting, analysis, compliance, and teamwork while performing tax returns, supporting tax projects, gathering evidence for engagements, and building client relationships.

You will pursue CPA designation with mentorship, study leave, and pre-approved programs.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an accounting degree/diploma.
• Desire to provide outstanding client service and teamwork.
• Proven leadership and initiative to seek understanding.
• Strong problem solving, analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tax returns for clients using course knowledge.
• Contribute to tax compliance projects per regulatory standards.
• Gather evidence for Assurance and Accounting engagements.
• Build positive relationships with clients and respond to requests.
• Participate in business development with existing clients.
• Communicate progress and issues with team members regularly.
