Job summary

BDO Canada in Winnipeg is seeking a Co-op or Intern student to join the Assurance team for a 4-month term from September to December 2027. The role offers a comprehensive learning experience in accounting, exposing you to financial reporting, analysis, compliance, and teamwork.

You will work on tax returns, assist with tax compliance projects, and gather evidence for assurance engagements while building client relationships and developing your CPA pathway with supportive mentorship.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree/diploma in accounting.
• Desire to provide outstanding client service and a commitment to teamwork.
• Proven leadership skills and initiative.
• Strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently utilize technical knowledge from courses to prepare tax returns for a variety of clients
• Contribute to tax compliance projects and other assignments per regulatory standards
• Gather evidence for Assurance and Accounting engagements
• Build positive working relationships with clients and effectively respond to request and suggestions
• Participate in business development initiatives and identify new business opportunities with existing clients
• Effectively communicate with team members regarding progress updates and issues on an ongoing basis
