Job summary

BDO in Saskatoon is seeking a Co-op Student to join the Assurance team for an 8-month term starting in January 2027. You will gain exposure to financial reporting, analysis, compliance, and teamwork while applying accounting knowledge learned in courses.

The role emphasizes tax returns preparation, tax compliance projects, and collaboration with clients and colleagues to deliver high-quality work, with opportunities to participate in business development and grow professionally.

Qualifications

• Currently working towards a degree/diploma focused in accounting.
• Desire to provide outstanding client service and commitment to teamwork.
• Proven leadership skill and initiative to seek understanding.
• Strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently utilize technical knowledge from courses to prepare tax returns for a variety of clients.
• Contribute to tax compliance projects and other assignments per regulatory standards.
• Gather evidence for Assurance and Accounting engagements.
• Build positive working relationships with clients and respond to requests and suggestions.
• Participate in business development initiatives and identify new business opportunities with existing clients.
• Effectively communicate with team members regarding progress updates and issues.
