Job summary

BDO Canada in Saskatoon is seeking a Co-op/Intern Student for an Assurance team 4-month term starting May 2027. The role provides a structured learning experience across financial reporting, analysis, compliance and teamwork.

You will gain exposure to tax returns, tax compliance projects, evidence gathering for engagements, and client interactions while developing professional skills for CPA designation.

Qualifications

• You are currently pursuing a degree/diploma focused in accounting.
• You have a desire to provide outstanding client service and a commitment to teamwork.
• You demonstrate strong problem solving, analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently utilize technical knowledge from courses to prepare tax returns for a variety of clients
• Contribute to tax compliance projects and other assignments per regulatory standards
• Gather evidence for Assurance and Accounting engagements
• Build positive working relationships with clients and effectively respond to request and suggestions
• Participate in business development initiatives and identify new business opportunities with existing clients
• Effectively communicate with team members regarding progress updates and issues on an ongoing basis

Your Opportunity

Our Saskatoon office is looking for a Co-op/Intern Student to join the Assurance team for an 4-month term starting in May 2027. This role is designed to offer a comprehensive learning experience in the field of accounting, exposing the Co-op or Intern to various aspects of financial reporting, analysis, compliance, and teamwork. The Co-op or Intern will own the following responsibilities:

• Efficiently utilize technical knowledge from courses to prepare tax returns for a variety of clients
• Contribute to tax compliance projects and other assignments per regulatory standards
• Gather evidence for Assurance and Accounting engagements
• Build positive working relationships with clients and effectively respond to request and suggestions
• Participate in business development initiatives and identify new business opportunities with existing clients
• Effectively communicate with team members regarding progress updates and issues on an ongoing basis
