This role typically reports into the Assistant Operations Manager and is based in our Canada DC in an on-site work environment.

Job Responsibilities

1. DC Operation and Execution (60%)

• Housekeeping, safety, and warehouse compliance
• Accurate and efficient order picking and packing, labeling cartons with correct shipping and content labels
• Inventory management including cleanup and replenishment
• Ensuring quantity and quality standards in outbound cartons
• Cross-training on machinery, including forklift, end rider, order picker, walkie rider, wave rider, aisle master
• Using Radio Frequency (RF) Scanners
• Maintaining minimum performance standards
• Following all Standard Operating Procedures
• Working safely and abiding by safety rules
• Supporting Carter’s culture and values
• Other assigned tasks

Essential Job Functions (40%)

• Housekeeping and health & safety of the department
• Performing other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

We’d love to hear from you if:

• Successfully complete powered materials handling equipment training and demonstrate safe practices and proficiency
• Use mechanized equipment as needed
• Are detail-oriented and able to maintain focus in a high-activity processing setting
• Can work closely with others (teamwork)

Preferred Skills and Experience

• At least one year of work experience, preferably in a distribution or manufacturing environment
• Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office applications
• Knowledge of RF scanners and WMOS
• Skilled at multi-tasking and reacting quickly to shifting priorities

Physical and Work Demands

• Repetitively lift cases weighing up to 50 lbs
• Work in a multi-shift distribution environment, flexible to work different shifts and extended hours
• Stand and work for long periods, including overtime and holidays
• Perform physical activities like walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, sometimes heavy or awkward
• Work in varying temperatures
• Shift hours vary
