Carter's Inc. Canada, a growing national retailer of children's apparel, requires 20 Part-Time Seasonal Associates for our Distribution Centre located in Cambridge, Ontario. This role reports to the Assistant Operations Manager and is based in our Canada DC in an on-site work environment.

Responsibilities

1. 60%: DC Operation and Execution

• Housekeeping, safety, and warehouse compliance
• Accurate and efficient order picking and packing, labeling cartons with the correct shipping and content labels
• Inventory management including cleanup and replenishment
• Ensuring quantity and quality standards are met in outbound cartons
• Cross-training on machinery such as forklift, end rider, order picker, walkie rider, wave rider, aisle master
• Using Radio Frequency (RF) Scanners
• Maintaining minimum performance standards
• Following all Standard Operating Procedures
• Working safely and following Carter’s safety rules
• Supporting Carter’s culture and values with team members
• Other assigned tasks

40%: Essential job functions

• Housekeeping and Health & Safety of the department
• Performing other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

Must Have:

• Successfully complete powered materials handling equipment training and demonstrate safe practices and proficiency
• Use mechanized equipment as needed
• Detail-oriented with the ability to focus in a high activity processing setting
• Able to work closely with others (teamwork)

Preferred skills and experience:

• At least one year of work experience, preferably in a distribution or manufacturing environment
• Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office applications
• Knowledge of RF scanners and experience using WMOS
• Skilled at multi-tasking and reacting quickly to shifting priorities

Physical and Work Demands

• Repetitively lift cases weighing up to 50 lbs
• Work in a multi-shift environment, flexible to different shifts and extended hours
• Stand and work for long periods, including overtime and holidays
• Physical exertion such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting heavy or awkward equipment
• Work in varying temperatures
• Shift hours vary
