Job summary

Kroll is seeking motivated researchers to join its Global Investigations, Diligence and Compliance Core team in Toronto. You will conduct English- and foreign-language research on companies and individuals, analyze findings, and produce concise reports for Fortune 500 clients in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.

The role emphasizes meticulous detail, curiosity, and the ability to manage multiple projects with strict deadlines.

Qualifications

• Completed undergraduate or graduate degree at an accredited university majoring in International Relations/Affairs, Regional Studies, Political Science, Criminal Justice, or other related areas of study.
• Native or equivalent English language proficiency in reading comprehension.
• Extremely strong reading and writing skills in English, ability to summarize information from multiple sources.
• Proficiency in at least one of these languages: Arabic, Chinese, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Russian, or Turkish.
• 1-2 years of professional experience (including internships).
• Ability to conduct online research using various primary and secondary sources.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to accept and apply constructive feedback.
• Ability to manage and prioritize several projects or assignments simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
• Customer-service orientation with attention to quality and detail.

Responsibilities

• Conduct increasingly complex English- and foreign-language research using public record databases, commercial and proprietary databases, media sources and the Internet.
• Analyze and synthesize relevant research findings.

Through a combination of expertise, global research capabilities and flexible technology tools, the Investigations, Diligence and Compliance Core practice of Kroll helps clients take a risk-based approach toward meeting obligations or remediating failures regarding anti-bribery, anti-corruption and related regulatory mandates. These include pre-transactional intelligence; vendor, supplier and distributor due diligence; vendor screening and monitoring; country/industry risk; and bespoke inquiries.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Completed undergraduate or graduate degree at an accredited university majoring in: International Relations/Affairs, Regional Studies, Political Science, Criminal Justice, or other related areas of study

Native or equivalent English language proficiency in reading comprehension;

Extremely strong reading and writing skills in English, ability to quickly and effectively summaries information from multiple sources into a concise analytical assessment;

Proficiency and reading comprehension in at least one of the following languages: Arabic, Chinese, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Russian, or Turkish;

1-2 years of professional experience (including internships);

Undergraduate or graduate degree at an accredited university majoring in: International Relations/Affairs, Regional Studies, Political Science, Criminal Justice, Law or other related areas of study;

Ability to conduct online research using various primary and secondary sources;

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment;

Ability to accept and apply constructive feedback;

PREFERRED SKILLS:
