Job summary

Scotiabank’s Scotia Financial Planning team is seeking an Associate to accelerate development as a financial services professional and support the full client relationship lifecycle in wealth management.

You will work with experienced Financial Planners, gaining hands-on exposure to planning, client engagement, and practice development, while building skills for a long-term career within Scotia Financial Planning.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Business or related field.
• Highly effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as a self-motivated professional.
• Understanding of the Brokerage, Wealth Management, and Online Brokerage environments.
• Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle to travel within the district.
• Second language is an asset depending on target markets.

Responsibilities

• Support the growth of a financial planning practice by strengthening client relationships.
• Identify opportunities to deepen connections and contribute to business development activities.
• Develop and implement a structured business development strategy.
• Conduct outbound communications and cold-calling to prospects.
• Provide clients with an initial review of their existing financial plan or create a new plan.
