We are presently recruiting for an Associate within the Technology & Operations (T&O) Strategy and Operating Office. In this role, you will be accountable for the planning and analysis of the Market Data & Subscriptions expense lines across CPP Investments.

The Opportunity:

  • Lead and coordinate the quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting process for Market Data & Subscriptions across all departments, ensuring information accuracy
  • Analyze spend trends and variances by making connections between information sources
  • Design and structure reports with clear visuals such as charts and tables to illustrate data and analysis effectively
  • Drive efficiencies in expense reporting and analysis, and present results to management and executives
  • Address ad-hoc business requests to support CPP Investments-wide discussions and analyses
  • Collaborate with the Data Scouting team to identify cost optimization opportunities
  • Support the management of the Market Data Management (MDM) solution with our external vendor Calero from a dashboard and reporting perspective
  • Identify and develop processes to improve team efficiency and effectiveness

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, business, or equivalent, with a professional accounting designation
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar financial planning & analysis role; experience with Market Data preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Independent, resourceful, and collaborative working style
  • Knowledge of accounting and budgeting concepts
  • Curious, self-motivated, adaptable to change
  • Ability to quickly learn new concepts and work under pressure with tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Alignment with our guiding principles of partnership, integrity, and high performance
