Position Summary
The role of the Associate Director, Social is responsible for client communication and will develop and oversee execution of digital plans and strategies for our clients. They will also operate as an internal resource for digital subject-matter expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate as key point of contact for agency planning teams and clients
- Create strong collaborative relationships with the client, planning teams, and specialty business units (SBUs)
- Monitor the goals and KPIs for a portfolio of clients to ensure on-time and complete delivery of campaigns
- Ensure all tactical media plan requirements are correctly implemented in digital platforms based on client needs
- Proven expertise in paid media capabilities, ability to find best-in-class solutions for clients, and staying up-to-date with upcoming tools/tech solutions that support overall media strategy
- Respond to RFPs and briefs, and present strategies/plans to clients
- Sell innovative solutions and ad formats to test new technology and keep clients' businesses moving forward
- Manage and lead a team or direct report, communicate agency goals, manage workloads, provide performance feedback, and support professional development
- Support reports/decks creation and present actionable insights to planners/clients
- Oversee budgets, ensure signoffs, and conduct campaign and budget QAs
- Build trusted partnerships with all levels of client teams and become a subject matter expert
- Identify opportunities to develop business with clients and demonstrate thought leadership
- Contribute to media POVs and understand marketing and communication processes
- Identify process gaps and proactively implement solutions for efficient collaboration
Desired Skills & Experience
- Background in Marketing and/or Advertising
- Mid-Senior level experience in paid social
- In-depth knowledge of the digital media industry and various digital channels
- Proficient in social platforms: Meta, TikTok, Reddit, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Snapchat
- Strong understanding of trafficking and cross-channel planning
- Experience in advertising agencies or with media partners
- Experience developing learning agendas for clients and applying research insights
- Ability to build positive client relationships and negotiate effectively
- Excellent communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Fluent in both French and English
