Shareholder Services (SHS) and Benefit Payments is one of RBC Investor Services (IS) leading and most established products, servicing a range of asset management, insurance, and pension fund clients across the Canadian market.

In this role, you will Initiate and support the overall product strategy, direction and profitability for Shareholder Services and Benefit Payments within RBC IS, in alignment with wider business objectives. You will initiate and support the design, development and management of product solutions that support client retention, target client acquisition, enhance client experience and deliver to client commitments. You will also lead the execution of approved product change/development, ensure the Shareholder Services and Benefit Payment (SHS & Ben Pay) Product Standards and operating framework have a strong fit to client/market demand, and drive a data-oriented product management culture across the business.

In this role, you will Initiate and support the overall product strategy, direction and profitability for Shareholder Services and Benefit Payments within RBC IS, in alignment with wider business objectives. You will initiate and support the design, development and management of product solutions that support client retention, target client acquisition, enhance client experience and deliver to client commitments.

What will you do?
>
  • Proactively involved in the assessment of available market intelligence and stakeholder feedback (clients and functions) on strategy and evolution of the Fund Services business product, including target market, features, product/service experience, regulation and compliance.
  • Support development and maintenance of suite of SHS & Ben Pay product solutions focused on delivering NIAT growth through enhancing/digitizing products, generating client value, delivering by geography and platform.
  • Develop a clear product roadmap in-collaboration with the SHS & Ben Pay Product Head, Client Success, Client Operations and Business Development.
  • Responsible for analysis of product-related change, including commercially viable and client focused business cases, with prioritization and approval of product, client, operational and regulatory change. Business cases to be managed in-collaboration with Profitability and Protocols.
  • Support design and efficiency of product operating model(s), product standardsand technical stack/architecture, with an objective to simplify where possible working with the Product Architect
  • Conduct analysis to understand the detailed P&L for SHS & Ben Pay and embed financials in driving client, product, execution and functional change on product profitability.
  • Employ a data-led approach to understand all aspects (operational, client servicing, risk management, sales etc.) of product performance, revenue realization, expense management and risk mitigation.
  • Responsible for ensuring appropriate governance, compliance with policies/frameworks and oversight of issues, risks, audit and compliance items.
  • Support client design for non-standard client on-boarding for SHS and Ben Pay as part of a wider bundled solution set offered by RBC IS
  • What do you need to succeed?
    Must-have
    • 3 to 5 years’ experience, with a specific focus in Asset Management/Asset Servicing or experience of Product Management roles in other parts of the wider Financial Services industry.
    • Sound technical knowledge of the financial services and/or asset management industry.
    • Extensive experience in developing & implementing effective strategies/business plans for products, business lines and/or operations groups.
    • Proven curiosity regarding Fintech and evolving investment industry trends.
    Nice-to-have
    • MBA post-graduate in business or finance
    • Professional qualifications from a recognised industry body

    The expected pay range for this position is:

    $90,000.00 - $140,000.00
