Job summary

Royal Bank of Canada is seeking an Associate Director of Operational Resilience in the Enterprise Chief Controls Office to lead the 1LOD resilience program and provide data-driven insights to senior leadership.

You will design reporting, coordinate scenario testing, and collaborate with technology, risk, and business units to strengthen the bank's preparedness and response to disruptions. This role emphasizes governance, training, and execution of resilience initiatives across global lines.

Qualifications

• Seven to ten years of experience in Operational Resilience or Non-Financial Risk within financial institutions.
• Proficient in SharePoint development and enterprise monitoring/reporting including KRIs.
• Experience with resilience analyses such as BIAs, RTO validation, and scenario testing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for senior leadership and cross-functional partners.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem solving, and multi-year project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and execution of the 1LOD Operational Resilience Lifecycle program across business segments.
• Design and build SharePoint forms, surveys, and automated tracker reports for leadership reports.
• Monitor resilience outcomes and provide data-driven insights for performance reporting.
• Maintain procedural documents and ensure they are current and accessible to stakeholders.
• Coordinate and drive resilience initiatives across functions to ensure consistent implementation.
• Serve as SME in Operational Resilience within 1LOD and provide guidance to leaders.
• Support training content development and deliver resilience capability-building sessions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across technology, operations, and risk.
